IZArc is the best freeware archive utility supporting many archive formats like: 7-ZIP, A, ACE, ARC, ARJ, B64, BH, BIN, BZ2, BZA, C2D, CAB, CDI, CPIO, DEB, ENC, GCA, GZ, GZA, HA, IMG, ISO, JAR, LHA, LIB, LZH, MDF, MBF, MIM, NRG, PAK, PDI, PK3, RAR, RPM, TAR, TAZ, TBZ, TGZ, TZ, UUE, WAR, XXE, YZ1, Z, ZIP, ZOO. With a modern easy-to-use interface, IZArc provides support for most compressed and encoded files, as well as access to many powerful features and tools. It allows you to drag and drop files from and to Windows Explorer, create and extract archives directly in Windows Explorer, create multiple archives spanning disks, creating self-extracting archives, repair damaged zip archives, converting from one archive type to another, view and write comments and many more. IZArc has also build-in multilanguage support.
โปรแกรมแนะนำคราวนี้คือโปรแกรมช่วยบีบอัดข้อมูลซึ่งมีชื่อว่า IZArc ครับ ถ้าใครใช้คอมพ์มาตั้งแต่สมัย DOS คงจะจำกันได้ว่าขนาดพื้นที่เก็บข้อมูลในสมัยก่อนช่างน้อยนิด แถมราคาแผ่นดิสก์หรือฮาร์ดดิสก์ในสมัยก่อนก็มีราคาสูง เทคโนโลยีบีบอัดข้อมูลจึงถือกำเนิดขึ้น สมัยนั้นก็มีหลายตัวแต่ที่นิยมกันจะเป็น arj กับ zip ไฟล์ zip ถูกนำเสนอโดย PK Software ซึ่งได้ออกโปรแกรมมา 2 ตัวคือ PKZip สำหรับบีบข้อมูลและ PKUnzip สำหรับคลายข้อมูล เวลาจะใช้ทีก็ต้องพิมพ์ที่ Command Line ต่อมาบน Windows 3.11 ก็มี WinZip ออกมาให้ใช้ แต่ไม่ได้ผลิตจาก PK Software ซึ่งก็ได้รับความนิยมมากแม้จะไม่ฟรี เมื่อเทคโนโลยีพัฒนาไปมาก ๆ ก็มีโปรแกรมที่ทำออกมาแข่งขันกันอีกมากมาย ทำให้กระแสของการใช้ WinZip เริ่มจืดจางไป ปัจจุบันที่เห็นฮิต ๆ กันก็คือ WinRAR ซึ่งบีบอัดได้ดีทีเดียว (ไฟล์ .rar มีมาตั้งแต่สมัย DOS แล้ว แต่ยังไม่ดัง มาดังเอาตอนนี้เอง) คู่แข่งขันอีกแบบหนึ่งคือ WinACE ซึ่งบีบอัดได้ดีกว่า .rar ด้วยซ้ำไป แต่ทำงานช้ากว่าเยอะครับ
เกริ่นมาซะยาว แค่อยากจะบอกว่าปัจจุบันมีโปรแกรมประเภท All in One หลายตัวที่สามารถบีบและคลายไฟล์ได้สารพัดฟอร์แมต ซึ่งก็มีทั้งฟรีและไม่ฟรี โปรแกรม IZArc เป็นฟรีแวร์ที่สามารถนำไปใช้งานได้โดยไม่ต้องเสียค่าใช้จ่ายสักบาท โปรแกรมนี้บีบอัดไฟล์ได้สารพัดฟอร์แมตตามที่ผู้พัฒนาได้อธิบายไว้ข้างต้น และยังคลายไฟล์ iso, nrg ซึ่งเป็น Image file ของแผ่น CD/DVD ได้อีกต่างหาก

เชื่อไหมละครับว่านี่เป็นของฟรี โปรแกรมที่ต้องเสียเงินบางโปรแกรมยังทำไม่ได้เท่านี้เลย ใครว่าของฟรีแล้วดีไม่มีอยู่จริง โปรแกรมนี้เป็นหลักฐานยืนยันได้เป็นอย่างดีว่าฟรีและดีมีจริง!
นอกจากรุ่นปกติแล้ว ยังมีรุ่น IZArc2Go ซึ่งจะทำการติดตั้งโปรแกรมลงในโฟลเดอร์หรือในแฟลชไดรฟ์ สำหรับพกพาไปไหนมาไหนโดยไม่ต้องพกคอมพิวเตอร์ เพียงหาคอมพ์สักเครื่องใกล้ ๆ เสียบแฟลชไดรฟ์แล้วก็เปิดโปรแกรมจากแฟลชไดรฟ์ของคุณได้เลย!
